Celery is an herbaceous plant native to Europe. For centuries it has been used as a medical plant, while today it is cultivated and consumed all over the world. The parts used are the younger leaves.
It is a vegetable rich in water, mineral salts, essential amino acids and vitamins (C, B6 and K).
